Living up to her name, the Pony Express has taken the field by storm. At the age of 20 months and in just six trials, Pony has earned her AKC field championship.
She was awarded the final points toward her title on November 28, 2009, in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Her second major came on September 19, 2009 at a trial in Knoxville, Maryland.
Her speed, drive and agility have been something to behold.
Pony won a stunning 5-point major at her very first trial on August 23, 2009, just weeks after earning her Junior Courser title. She was just 17 months old at the time. Her fearlessness and energy are, in a word, breathtaking.
Pony also is doing well in the show ring, winning some very competitive classes, including placing second in the large 12 to 18 month class at the Eastern Whippet Specialty Show. She also has won several Bred By Exhibitor classes.

Above, Pony started out 2009 with a win under Judge Keke Kahn at the Northern Neck Kennel Club show in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on Jan. 8.
She was a little over nine months old at the time.
At the age of six months, Pony went Best of Opposite Sex Puppy at the WRA and NOTRA Whippet Nationals Match on September 26, 2008:
Judge Dale Healy commended Pony's ``pretty head with nice dark eyes'' and her smooth movement.
Pony was still being ring-trained when she went Best in Match on July 20, 2008 -- at only four months old -- old under Saluki breeder Linda Deutsch.
In putting Pony up over the
Best Adult, Deutsch commented on Pony's nice front and rear balance. This win came during the PHAST coursing club's ``Phun Day'' in Pennsville, New Jersey.
Pony was born on March 20, 2008. Pony is co-owned by breeder Ellen Morgan of Yorktown Whippets in Florida.
